Because of the national holiday break and the day off I took on Monday, I only worked for two days this week 😅 My main tasks were to wrap up the design doc and present it to the internal team, which unexpectedly received high praise. After the break, I’ll present it to five leaders, and then I can hopefully start to work on the project! Although my supervisor and mentor both said that if I can’t finish it, we can adjust the project scope and told me not to worry, to enjoy my time as an intern, and not to work overtime — don’t be stressed out. However, as the anxiety queen, I still learned the internal language this week and finished writing the API Model 😅

This week, my supervisor assigned me another mentor, an L5 engineer based in Seattle, hoping that I would have more resources to ask questions and a role model to learn from. I am really grateful. Our first 1:1 meeting was to get to know each other’s backgrounds, and he seemed like a nice person. Including this mentor, I now have a total of five mentors, and I feel very cared for 🥹
